Pantry Essentials
Everyone should have secrets in their pantry. Those tried and true products you know you can depend on to get you through any unexpected situations in your kitchen.
I’ve put together a few of mine to share with you. Such as:
A bottle of Crème de Cassis, a natural black currant syrup that is great to flavor white wine, called a Kir or added to champagne it’s a Kir Royale. It is also wonderful added to vanilla ice cream or to a fresh fruits to make a delicious desert. Be daring and add a drop to your vinaigrette to add a fruity tang to salads.
Wonton Wrappers can be found at the grocery store and are wonderful to easily make your own ravioli or dumplings from savory or sweet leftovers. They are also great toasted and used as a chip for dips.

Adeline – I was looking for those tiny pre-made quiche shells before the holidays. Does anyone make THOSE anymore? You know to fill with a little custard or something to make tiny hors d’oeuvre. Maybe I should start using wonton wrappers though they aren’t exactly the same. M xox
